I have many new years in the year. This one, the Jewish New Year is very special. I like to celebrate Taschlich, and did so twice so far. With close dear friends, we go to the river and toss away the things we are wanting to cast off and also the things we are hoping to grow. We eat apples and honey to symbolize the sweet year we would like to see. It is always on the new moon of the Jewish Calendar, a new beginning. It is with intention and ritual that this holiday happens. We need to follow tradition and we need to be in the moment. What a nice way to start the year enjoying my friends and their company. I wish that to all my friends.
