Went to Seattle this weekend to visit Kendra and her lovely family: baby Zoe, Alice, McKenna, and Marshall. It was a fabulously sunny weekend, a holiday in Seattle.
We took a boat to Whidbey Island to see a house concert with Tret Fure, very moving and fun, went wine tasting, ate out and in well, took Alice to the wading pool, swam and kayaked Green lake, and watched the skyline of Seattle from a park.
Very busy, and very in the flow, as Kendra said.
I had a wonderful time. Really got to know the kids. They blew my mind, so precious.
I haven't written in over a year. What is up with that! I turned 70 this year. Reflecting on what I'm calling my sunset years. I've enjoyed taking the trailer out for a few outings, went to Portland several times, and am taking care of our diabetic cat Bob.
I did a little art, by making some linocut towels for passover gifts, and a feminist fist for Basja.
Mostly what is new this year is going to my silver sneakers class. I try and go two times a week and enjoy the teachers and the other students, about my age, trying to stay in some degree of fitness/health. New chapter.
